Nicole and Michel Lahouati founded Eurofeu, a company trading in fire equipment. The company initially operated from their home in La Motte in Le Mesnil-Thomas – premises covering only 150 m².
Eurofeu became Eurofeu SAS, taking on bigger premises (covering 400 m²), still in Le Mesnil-Thomas.
The Eurosignal brand was created (manufacture of fire safety notices and plans).
Eurofeu SAS invested in new premises in La Framboisière. The production unit covered 3,200 m².
The company obtained RAQ-3 (Quality Assurance Rules) certification.
Creation of a network dedicated to very small businesses.
Development of new product ranges and marketing of services.
Eurofeu acquired its supplier of deep-drawn parts for its fire extinguishers, Chevalier Bertrand.
The premises were also extended, providing an area of 4,500m² for the company.
The company obtained ISO 9001 certification for the production unit. This superseded the RAQ-3 certification.
Eurofeu created its own Training department to meet the increasing demand for training in the areas of fire, evacuation, occupational safety, chemical hazards, etc.
The department developed a mobile training unit (38-tonne truck) in collaboration with its service provider, TIB, with the aim of expanding the training services it offered.
The production plant and head office moved to a new location at the Site Industriel de la Forêt covering 7.86 hectares. The site has 21,500 m² of production plant and warehouses and 1,600 m² of offices.
A shift in direction for the group with the merger of several regional entities and the creation of Eurofeu Services, a network dedicated to the direct sale of fire safety products and services nationally.
