In establishments mentioned in article R. 4227-34, fire safety instructions are drawn up and prominently displayed:
- 1° In each room for rooms with more than five employees and for rooms mentioned in article R. 4227-24 ;
- 2° In each room or in each passageway serving a group of rooms in other cases.
In other establishments, instructions are drawn up to ensure the evacuation of people present on the premises under the conditions set out in 1° of article R. 4216-2.

The fire safety instructions indicate :
- 1° Fire extinguishing and emergency equipment located in or around the premises;
- 2° The people responsible for putting this equipment into action;
- 3° For each room, the persons responsible for directing the evacuation of workers and, where applicable, the public;
- 4° Specific measures to accommodate the presence of disabled people, including the number and location of secure waiting areas or equivalent spaces;
- 5° Warning systems;
- 6° Persons responsible for notifying the fire department as soon as a fire breaks out;
- 7° The address and telephone number of the first-call emergency service, in clear lettering;
- 8° The duty of any person noticing the start of a fire to raise the alarm and provide first aid, without waiting for specially designated workers to arrive.
