FIRE DETECTION ALARM TYPE 3
Type 3 alarm equipment uses BAAS Ma. But unlike type 2b, it is a non-timed device that can be associated with simple safety functions (closing fire doors, unlocking exits, technical shutdowns, etc.) and which does not include centralization of information.
Fire safety systems ensure the safety of occupants in public buildings, high-rise buildings, industrial buildings and workplaces.
There are several I.S.S. categories, in decreasing order of risk severity: A, B, C, D and E (according to NF S61-931). Each category implies a different level of I.S.S. complexity, i.e. a specific fire detection and alarm system.
ERP are also classified into categories, ranging from 1 to 5, depending on the type of establishment and the number of people admitted.
According to the NF S61-936 standard, alarm equipment is divided into 5 types: type 1, 2a, 2b, 3 and type 4.
A building's fire safety is based on the match between these three factors: an ERP is categorized and assigned a risk level (and therefore an I.S.S. category), on the basis of which appropriate alarm equipment is installed.

What is Type 3 Fire Alarm Equipment?
This is a more advanced device than type 4 alarms, although its function remains the same: to quickly alert the occupants of a building in the event of a fire.
The use of Autonomous Sound Alarm Blocks ( BAAS Ma ) guarantees the broadcast of the evacuation signal even in the event of cable breakage.
It consists of one or more BAAS Ma (Autonomous Sound Alarm Blocks) connected together and which can each manage a loop of manual triggers . They each have a sound diffuser and a battery to be able to operate even in the event of a power cut.
All BASS Ma are connected to each other, which causes all BASS Ma to be triggered when a single one is requested.
The installation must include a remote control to switch the installation off and at least one manual trigger.
