Custom finishes and design
Eurofeu's Signage department is able to print on a wide range of materials, ensuring optimum adaptation of the message to its environment.
As part of our commitment to the environment, demonstrated by our ISO 14001 certification, we have chosen a new material and a new ink for the design of our standard plans: PVC with an M1-rated abrasion-resistant film and an environmentally-friendly ink that enhances UV resistance.
This new concept, which complies with the NF X08-070 standard, is both stronger and more environmentally friendly, thanks to its various features:
- M1 fire classification;
- UL ECOLOGO® and GREENGUARD GOLD certified inks (UL GREENGUARD GOLD certification attributed to the UL 2818 reference shows that the products are certified to UL GREENGUARD standards for low emissions of chemicals into the ambient air during use. For more information, visit ul.com/gg) ;
- Printing with this eco-friendly water-based ink is odorless for our production teams;
- Colorfastness to outdoor exposure has been tested to SAE J2527;
- Its matte protective film, also M1-rated, extends the life of our plans.
Rigid PVC is characterized by its homogeneous, smooth, glossy surface. It is flame-retardant and resistant to chemicals and corrosion in accordance with DIN8061, as well as to most aggressive substances. It is available in 1mm or 3mm thickness.
Product highlights :
- Wide range of colors,
- Choice of surface finishes (smooth or satin),
- Easy gluing, laminating and printing,
- Good chemical resistance.
Photoluminescent PVC is a specific material containing pigments capable of accumulating light and releasing it in the dark.
Photoluminescent pictograms are widely used for fire evacuation signage, making it easy to distinguish and follow the evacuation route even in the event of a fire (power cut and presence of smoke).
Dibond© is a multi-layer panel composed of two pre-painted aluminum sheets thermally bonded on either side of a polyethylene core. It's a featherweight thanks to the milling-folding technique, and can be transformed into 3D, rigid and stable: ideal for indoor and outdoor applications.
Product highlights :
- Wide range of colors (gloss or satin),
- Brushed or gilded metal look range,
- Large format,
- Suitable for digital printing,
- UV-resistant,
- Optimized long-term outdoor behavior.
Plexiglas (PMMA: polymethyl methacrylate-based sheet) is colorless by nature and exceptionally clear.
Inert to many aggressive chemical agents, it is the benchmark outdoor plastic material (UV and weather resistant).
Product highlights :
- Exceptional transparency.
- Good formability and processability.
- Incomparable surface finish and optical purity.
- No alteration of optical and mechanical properties over time.
- Extruded off-cuts can be recycled without causing any environmental damage,
- Waste or scrap can be crushed and then injected or extruded again.
What is the purpose of signage?
What is a signage plan?
Safety signs (signs, instructions, plans) contribute to health and safety in the workplace. They are used to describe a situation, prescribe a course of action, or give an indication of danger. Its main functions are :
Facilitating evacuation: Signage clearly indicates evacuation routes, emergency exits and safe routes to follow in the event of fire.
Identify fire-fighting equipment: Signage plans show the location of fire extinguishers, fire alarms, fire stations and other safety equipment.
Reduce confusion: In an emergency, confusion can be dangerous. Clear, easy-to-understand signage.
Assisting the fire service: Signage plans provide crucial information to firefighters and rescue services, enabling them to quickly locate access points, extinguishing systems and areas at risk.
Raising risk awareness: Signage can include warnings about high-risk areas, flammable materials or other potential hazards.
Promote compliance with safety standards: The presence of fire signage that complies with local and national safety standards is often required by regulations. By providing adequate signage, building owners and managers can ensure compliance and minimize legal risks.
For each field of application, the regulatory points to be complied with are defined in a normative framework and a regulatory framework. The sum of these frameworks constitutes the regulations to be complied with.
