A protective cover protects your extinguisher from dust, dirt, moisture and other elements that could compromise its effectiveness. Covers help keep the extinguisher's internal components in good condition.

In certain environments, such as schools, covers are an additional means of protection against vandalism, as the extinguisher parts are not directly accessible (pins, nozzles, etc.).

Fire extinguisher covers and boxes are colored in plastic and red fabric to be visible from a distance. Protective covers are also often designed with clear visual indications, such as extinguisher symbols and standardized colored caps, making it easy to quickly identify the type of extinguisher in an emergency.
For water extinguishers, the symbols and cover caps are blue; for powder extinguishers they are yellow, and the 2kg and 5kg CO2 extinguisher covers are white or grey.
