Eurofeu takes action and commits

- UML with GAS carburetion
Since January 1, 2024, certain urban areas have had the ZFE (Low Emission Zone) standard.
Thanks to the new UML Gaz, Eurofeu is therefore in compliance with this new standard.

- The ecological additive
In order to share its environmental values with its customers, the group has developed a range of auxiliary pressure fire extinguishers ideal for the optimum safety of its user. Its non-corrosive and non-toxic 100% plant-based additive is the result of an exclusive innovation recognized by numerous awards and distinctions. It is capable of being eliminated 98% within 12 days.
A great opportunity to combine environmental protection, safety and aesthetics.

- In training, zero pollution objective
In order to protect the environment at our customers' homes during their travels, our Training department has equipped itself with a fleet of training vehicles with a system for recovering waste water after handling extinguishing equipment.
In addition, the "Euro 6" anti-pollution standard requires a drastic reduction in CO2 emissions per kilometer traveled. To comply with this standard, the tractors of our "CAPSI" (Fire Safety Learning and Improvement Center) mobile training units are more efficient and reduce their greenhouse gas emissions by 20% thanks to a pollution control system.

- A fleet of electric vehicles
Eurofeu is fully committed to protecting the environment through the integration of a fleet of electric vehicles. This choice is part of our eco-responsible approach aimed at reducing our carbon footprint and contributing to the fight against global warming.
By adopting electric vehicles, we are significantly reducing our CO2 emissions while offering quality services to our customers. This commitment reflects our desire to combine performance and respect for the environment, in line with our values of sustainability and innovation.

Use of recycled and recyclable products♻️

Optimization of the use of raw materials during the production process
Optimization of the use of raw materials during the production process
For the treatment of its fire extinguisher bodies, the production unit uses two different machines: one responsible for the treatment of the exterior surface of the body (step 1) and a second responsible for the interior (step 2).
Propelling calcium carbonate at high speeds results in losses of raw materials, and thus an overconsumption of toxic products. In an effort to reduce its consumption of chemicals and toxic products, Eurofeu has set up a system for recovering material losses in stage 1 in order to reuse it in stage 2.
To clean its screen printing screens, we use solvent that is soiled by inks after use. The latter is recovered by an organization specialized in the revaluation of materials, which, as part of a contract, reprocesses our products before returning them to us. Eurofeu thus reduces its consumption of pure solvents and prioritizes the use of recycled solvents.

Denaturation of products, components and raw materials ALL BRANDS!
Denaturation of products, components and raw materials | ALL BRANDS!
Producing 750,000 fire extinguishers each year, the Eurofeu group reduces its impact on the environment thanks to its QHSE service.
Recovery of used fire extinguishers of all brands:
- The bodies,
- Used powders are collected to be returned and reused by an approved company for the manufacture of fertilizers,
- The contaminated water and additives are stored and then recycled by a reprocessing center,
- CO2 gas cartridges are reprocessed by one of our suppliers,
- Plastic components and metals are put into skips and are reused or recovered for energy depending on the type of material.

Recovery of waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE)
Recovery of waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE)
- Lamps (category 5 household WEEE),
- Medical devices (category 8 professional WEEE),
- Monitoring and control instruments.
- Lighting equipment.

Policy for the recovery and reuse of packaging
Reuse of packaging
Our sensitivity to the environment has led us to implement a policy of recovery and reuse of packaging.
- Our packaging boxes are made from recycled products and are reused as much as possible,
- Our pallets are reused as much as possible, repaired and/or recycled by our supplier when they reach the end of their life.

Recycling office supplies

The Eurofeu group is a partner of ELISE, a company dedicated to the collection and recycling of office paper and thus, to the creation of an activity aimed at ensuring sustainable employment.

Recycling ink cartridges
Recycling ink cartridges
Since 2012, at the Eurofeu group headquarters, we have been recycling our ink cartridges thanks to the company CONIBI. This is a first step before extending this action to all of our agencies.
The first consortium dedicated to the recycling of used printing consumables from businesses.
CONIBI was created in January 2000. A pioneer in its field, it was born from the shared desire of the main global printing players to set up a free solution for collecting and processing used consumables from companies.
This unprecedented agreement makes France the only European country to have a national organization bringing together the biggest names in IT and office automation.
Committed to a virtuous dynamic, the members and shareholders of the CONIBI consortium have given themselves the mission of raising awareness among users about selective sorting, of developing the volumes collected and of developing adequate and efficient recycling channels.
Since its creation, CONIBI has continued to develop its practices, innovate and improve its performance in the service of its 40,000 client companies and the environment.

The Eurofeu Group supports
Association M and Boccia
The Group is proud to be a partner of the M association and Boccia, a sport similar to pétanque which became a Paralympic discipline in 1984. Mathias, 21 years old and with a motor disability, has been playing Boccia for 7 years and has decided to build his life project around this sport.
Mélissa, President of the Association, accompanies Mathias during his training and competitions. More recently, Mathilde joined the association. A determined player, she will participate in the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games.
The Association's Achievements
- 🥇 2020: BC3 Pre-Elite French Champions
- 🥉 2022: Youth Paralympic Games
- 🥈 2023: Youth World Championship
The Eurofeu Group is continuing its commitment to disability by paying part of its apprenticeship tax to the Walt School.
This establishment is specialized for neuro-atypical children from 6 to 16 years old. The goal of this school is to support them throughout their school career so that they have personalized educational and therapeutic monitoring according to their disabilities with the help of a multidisciplinary team that works together to help students "get out of their boxes". This school has an adapted and flexible work environment thanks to their sensory motor spaces which are dedicated to the development of the talents present in the establishment.

Eurofeu Sécurité Incendie supports the Loiret Paratennis Open which took place from November 15 to 19, 2023 at the Forêt sports complex in Fleuryles-Aubrais near Orléans. A tournament that has become unmissable with the participation of the French No. 1 and triple Paralympic champion Stéphane Houdet, as well as the French No. 1 Pauline Déroulède! This partnership is renewed once again for 2024!
- Recycling small corks
Association established in Senonches since 2014. The Eurofeu group has been involved in the life of this organization by having recycling bins at the headquarters and on its industrial site. The volunteers of this association do a considerable amount of work: receiving the corks, sorting them, removing the labels and any cardboard found inside. The corks are then cleaned, crushed, melted and then transformed into lenses to be used again. The proceeds from the sale are reserved for the disabled of Eure-et-Loir and the Departmental House for Disabled People (MDPH). Discover the association
